Senior Conveyancing Secretary

Synopsis

A prestigious boutique commercial law firm in Sandton is looking for a Senior Conveyancing Secretary to join their practice.


Minimum Requirements

• Matric Essential.
• Legal secretary / paralegal / conveyancing qualification advantageous.
• 5 – 6 years as a Conveyancing Secretary experience essential.
• Good knowledge and understanding of the complete process of property transfers (residential and commercial), bond cancellation and bonds;
• Experience in drafting servitudes.
• Notarial experience will be advantageous.
• Experience on the different bank bond sites system advantageous e.g. Nedbank, ABSA.
• Experience with Conveyancing packages advantageous e.g. Ghostconvey, Ghostpartner.
• Good knowledge of opening up town registers.
• Experienced in sectional title registers and sectional title property transfers.
• Full working knowledge of all MS packages.

Note: EE candidates preferred.


Role Description

• Taking ownership of the transaction from beginning to the end which includes residential and commercial property transfers.
• Preparing files accurately according to specifications.
• Administering and organizing the Conveyancing legal practice.
• Effective stakeholder communication essential for both internal & external parties
• Drafting Documents.
• Obtaining Transfer Duty & Rates Clearance Certificates.
• Attending to Lodgements and Registrations of all Transfers, Bond Cancellations and Bonds.
• Attending to all the Finances related to the conveyancing transactions.
• Ability to demonstrate sound legal technical ability, knowledge of relevant legislation
