An international law firm based in Sandton is looking for a Learning & Development Consultant to join their firm.

Minimum Requirements

Qualification and experience
Human Resource Degree or equivalent Learning & Development degree.
3-5 years relevant working experience.
Experience in learning and development.
Excellent administration and facilitation skills.
Organised and able to operate with minimum supervision.
Well-developed written and oral communication.
Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels (both internal and external).
Attention to detail, thoroughness and accuracy.
Ability to work according to deadlines, ability to work under pressure, results orientated.

Role Description

To assist the Learning & Development Manager: Legal Services
*Reporting and analytical element. This includes WSP/ATR reports, BEE verifications, training transcripts, training reports and analysis of attendance and feedback.
*Budgeting, forecasting, budgeting processes and analysis of spend is important. This includes budgeting at team level, but also at course-by-course level.
*Programme or project management experience (with an element of delegation)
*Building strong relationships with Finance, HR, Reception, Facilities, Print room and Canteen to ensure smooth service delivery.
*Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders (business unit heads, team leaders, heads of departments etc) to accurate assess and service training needs.
*to achieve the annual Learning & Development objectives and requirements of the firm
*to implement training initiatives through the planning, organising, scheduling, facilitation, administration, tracking and recording of all aspects of legal *training for the firm’s legal services staff and clients whilst building and maintaining relationships with all internal and external training providers
with reporting, including annual legislative reporting and internal firm-wide reporting
*to indirectly supervise the Learning & Development Co-ordinator and Office Support Clerk.
Implementation of training initiatives
Super-user of the firm's Learner Management System (Gilbert) which includes working with IT to resolve day-to-day queries and system errors, training of all system administrators and general overall maintenance of the system.
Oversee and assist with the uploading of training recordings into Gilbert. This should include working with the IT department as necessary.
Coordinate and implement the LSSA Practice Management Training (“PMT”) for partners
Evaluation of training interventions
Assisting the Learning & Development Manager to effectively and efficiently manage the Learning & Development budget
Facilitating payments
Assist the Learning & Development Manager with all aspects of key annual projects and focus areas
