Synopsis

An exciting opportunity to join a Global leader in the pharmaceutical industry and be part of a dynamic legal team providing legal support and ensuring legal compliance of the business in South Africa (SA) and Sub Saharan Africa (SSA). Our client is looking for an individual with the ability to work in a fast paced environment under continuous tight deadlines. Must possess excellent verbal and written skills and excellent drafting and analytical skills. Previous working knowledge of the legislation regulating the pharmaceutical industry in South Africa is necessary.


Minimum Requirements

LLB Graduate with completed Articles
Admitted Attorney
4-6 years' post-articles legal experience, of which at least one year must be in a law firm and at least three years must be in an in-house counsel role.
Must have pharmaceutical law experience


Role Description

Provide advice to all stakeholders in SA & SSA in all business areas, including finance, business development, commercial, HR, regulatory, medical services, corporate services,
Advise all stakeholders in SA and SSA of potential litigation risks associated with business decisions and business practices,
Ensure that robust compliance processes are implemented across the organisation in order to ensure that the organisation’s statutory obligations are complied with and that risks are mitigated,
Draft and review contracts for every business area across the organisation.
