Senior Regional Legal Manager – Corporate – LEGY203


A Global Leading Company is looking for a Senior Regional Legal Manager to work in their busy department at their offices in Centurion, Gauteng.

Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate must meet and exceed the following requirements:
LLB Degree,
BCom Law is an essential requirement for this role,
Admitted Attorney, with at least 5 years' experience working in corporate commercial and litigation and labour, from a law firm or legal department,
Knowledge of applicable legislation particular in regards to Commercial law, Company law, Litigation law, Employment law, Contracts, Collections and claims,
French or Portuguese Language capability an advantage,
Be a Team Player, and always willing to assist where necessary,
Must be able to do your own admin work where necessary

Role Description

Some of the duties you will be required to perform are as follows, but not limited to:
Review legal document or agreement
Advise of necessary amendments
Draft agreements as per requests
Negotiate amendments as required
Review agreements
Communicate concerns to party requesting review
Receive Summonses or other legal actions
Instruct attorneys if necessary
Track resolution of legal action if given to attorney
Report on status of litigation
Attend negotiations/discussions with customers or court actions
Report on outcome of representation
Formulate necessary correspondence/responses based on information received
Advise on the appropriate action
Track/Follow through on appropriate action
Assess claim and investigating report
Request/obtain more information
Prepare advise on dealing with claim
Advise company
Execute company decision
Correspond with insurance office
Report to management on Claims list and Bad Debtor list
Review instructions from Regions
Resolve with customers
Instruct Attorneys to institute action if applicable
Report on actions pending on outstanding claims
Negotiate with relevant parties
Identification of potential risks (Ownership, liquidation, sequestration, contract breach)
Drafting of legal agreements
Advise on security method of payment (including currency risk)

City: Centurion

Salary: The salary offered here is around R600k pa, but is negotiable for the right candidate. There are also great benefits over and above the basic salary.
