Business Development Specialist for Law Firm based in Sandton

Synopsis

Our client is a leading corporate and commercial law firm based in Sandton. They are looking for a Business Development Specialist to join their team.


Minimum Requirements

Academic/Experience
Marketing, Communications or Business Diploma or Degree;
Minimum of three to four years' work experience preferably in a Business Development capacity in a corporate/professional services environment; and
Experience in the Legal Services industry would be preferable.

Role Description

New Business Development
Source and assess tenders based on requirements and firm strategy.
Prepare tenders & proposals from start to finish – understanding internal and external clients' needs - customise content and assist with the writing of content.
Manage and have oversight of any tenders, pitches and RFQs prepared by the Business Development Co-ordinator.
Contribute to the ongoing development of processes, tools, content and templates, promoting an effective proposal process.
Update all pitch collateral and ensure this is available on the Proposal Assistant and shared drive as needed.
Drive the implementation of appropriate processes and systems to capture, track and monitor the progress of tenders & proposals against timelines and action plans.
Identify and support current and future pipeline opportunities through ongoing BD support to the practice areas.
Assist with post-pitch analysis and trends.
Share best practice and proposal statistics with the BD team and key stakeholders.
Ensure deals submitted to directory listings are captured and filed for appropriate use in tenders & proposals.

Client Relationship Management Support
Work alongside the Business Development Manager to support the firm's Top Client and Target Client Programmes.
Generate client packs containing key information for client meetings.
Assist with the development and updating of CRM dossiers and/or client notes in InterAction.
Assist with the preparation of bespoke pitches and proposals required for target or key client meetings.

Directory support
Assist the Business Development Manager with the collation and submission of all global directories (Chambers, IFLR 1000, Legal 500, GCR, GAR, IP Stars).
Ensure all bios and proposal collateral are updated with annual rankings achieved in global directories.

Marketing Support
Assist, as and when required, with marketing campaigns and initiatives.


City: Sandton

Salary: R280K – R330K CTC per annum
