Contract Manager – Northern Cape, South Africa (Construction and Energy experience required)

Synopsis

Our client is looking for a Contracts Manager to join their team in the Northern Cape.

The Contract manager will report to the CEO of the Project Company and will also closely interact with the Owner site engineers, the OM Operator and the main Contractor.


Minimum Requirements

Qualifications
Degree in Legal or Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or university degree with strong background in the energy sector.
A course in contract/ claim Management is an advantage.
Proficient in English and Afrikaans

Experience
A minimum of 10 years of experience in power generation sector in the fields of construction and contract management.
Preferable experience of OCGT, CCGT, coal, renewable, solar CSP or PV, biomass, wind
Direct experience in contract management.


Role Description

Purpose of the Job

The main goal of Contract Manager will be to:
Take records of the plant operation performance:
Daily performance MoM
Losses responsibility
Keep all records of Incidents and documentation
Manage all contractual documentation and exchanges with the parties
Minutes of meetings
Warranty claims
Incident reports
Instructions
Ensure the EPC and O&M contracts are fully and compliantly executed,
Prevent or mitigate disputes and claims,
Mitigate project risks and benefit from project opportunities,
Maintain good business relationships and by doing so protect our Project’s interests and sustainability in the respect of our contractual commitments, ethics rules, corporate policies, and environmental and societal responsibility.


City: Northern Cape

Salary: R700 000 – R 1 100 000 CTC

Duration: Fixed Term - 18-month contract
