Junior Bookkeeper – LEGRN32317

Synopsis

Our client is a medium sized law firm that specializes in Intellectual Property Law and Intellectual Property Management services. They are looking to employ a Junior Bookkeeper in a temporary role, which requires the incumbent to work 2 days a week.


Minimum Requirements

2-3 years experience in bookkeeping
Relevant (and complete) bookkeeping diploma
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
Basic knowledge of bookkeeping: cash journal and ledger
Basic knowledge of financial reporting
Excel skills
Knowledge of Quickbooks or Microsodt Navision a plus
Experience with an in-house firm a plus.


Role Description

Import fees / payments and collection commission client software
Import client finances /statements and new files
Import direct client payments to internal software – monthly and follow-up if not received
Posting of fees, invoicing and collection of outstanding accounts
Prepare invoices and ensure it balances with internal bookkeeping system
Reconcile bank account and verify which payments are for debtors and compile sheet for importing
Payment reports to clients
Monthly reports on retainer / stats / invoicing totals
Make payments to relevant debtors
Prepare reports on internal collection Invoicing reports
Invoicing to clients and manage payments received
General administration – filing, e-mails, faxes, maintaining an efficient and effective financial accounting system
Account management including amendments, itemized billing, draft accounts, adjustments and final accounts
