Synopsis

Our client, a reputable Sandton based commercial law firm has an exciting opportunity for a junior legal secretary in their Commercial Department.


Minimum Requirements

2 years experience as a junior legal secretary
Working hours 08:00 – 12:00
Excellent knowledge of MS Word programmes (more specifically MS Word 2010 and Excel)
Basic knowledge on Aderant Expert (CMS) accounting system
Secretarial diploma/legal secretarial diploma/paralegal qualification (advantageous)
Matric essential
Must be well-organised and conscientious
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong administration and organisational skills in order to mage professionals practices
Display attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills
Maintain confidentiality
Honesty, reliability and punctuality
Ability to multitask
Proactive and takes initiative
Ability to work well under pressure
Excellent client relationship skills


Role Description

Dictaphone and copy-typing of a wide range of documents
Incorporating amendments to documents
Preparing resource and client files
General office and personal administration (including diary management, answering telephone calls and tracking messages in the absence of the professionals)
Preparing pre-bills and billing memos (sending same to clients)
Managing debtors with the accounts department
FICA administration: following up to ensure the FICA requirements and complete
