Supply Chain Manager - Pharmaceuticals - Cape Town

Role Description

Our client, a leading pharmaceuticals company, is looking for a dynamic leader to manage and oversee the supply and demand planning for South Africa.  In addition  this role is also responsible for managing the import logistics activities for the supplies coming from non-SA sites.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage demand forecasts for all product categories.
  2. Manage the inventory planning process for all products.
  3. Develop procedures for demand planning processes and systems.
  4. Manage the demand and planning function by collaborating cross functionally.
  5. Continuously improve and use best practices within the industry in order to integrate market intelligence into the forecast.
  6. Manage relationships with external stakeholders.
  7. Balanced monthly supply plans for a cluster of plants.
  8. Supply S&OP - Schedule and lead cyclical meetings with the manufacturing locations.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 9 - 12 years of experience in the managing of Supply Chain
  • MBA or Industrial Engineering Degree
  • Training specific to demand planning, S&OP, forecasting and general management.
  • Finance, ERP Systems and forecasting tools and processes
  • Advanced Excel
  • Statistical Knowledge
  • Business intelligence will be an advantage.
