Business Development Manager – Legal Firm – Sandton

Our client, an international law firm in Sandton has announced an exciting position in their Marketing Department for a Business Development Manager, who will report to the Head of Marketing and Business Development.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Implementation of the firm-wide business development strategy
  • Drive and support all efforts related to the firm’s Top Client program
  • Management of the relevant CRM systems for purposes of reporting
  • New business development
  • Deal reporting, directory management and awards submissions
  • People management and general relationship building

Competencies:

  • Good command of the English language
  • Strong project management skills
  • Delivery orientated
  • Relationship builder
  • CRM software exposure (on InterAction and Aderant software would be an advantage)
  • Previous knowledge of client retention/ target program roll-out
  • Creativity and innovation
  • Ability to understand complex business environments
  • Competence to manage upwards and work with the Chairman

Requirements:

  • BA/ BCom degree in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience preferably in an CRM capacity in a corporate/ professional services environment
  • Experience/ exposure to the Legal Services industry would be preferable
