Role Description
Commercial Secretary - Sandton
A vacancy has arisen in the Commercial Department of one of our clients, A large International law firm, in the Banking and Finance team, for a legal secretary.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Dictaphone and copy-typing of a wide range of documents
- Incorporating amendments to documents
- Preparing resource and client files
- General office and personal administration (including diary management, answering telephone calls and tracking messages in the absence of the professionals)
- Preparing pre-bills and billing memos (sending same to clients)
- Managing debtors with the accounts department and clients
- FICA administration: following up to ensure the FICA requirements are complete
- Filing
Requirements:
- At least 5 or more years experience as a legal secretary in a commercial department
- Excellent knowledge of MS Word programmes (more specifically MS Word 2016/Office 365 and Excel)
- Knowledge on Aderant Expert (CMS) accounting system
- Knowledge of FileSite
- Secretarial diploma/legal secretarial diploma/paralegal qualification (advantageous)
- Matric essential
