Commercial Secretary - Sandton

A vacancy has arisen in the Commercial Department of one of our clients, A large International law firm, in the Banking and Finance team, for a legal secretary.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Dictaphone and copy-typing of a wide range of documents
  • Incorporating amendments to documents
  • Preparing resource and client files
  • General office and personal administration (including diary management, answering telephone calls and tracking messages in the absence of the professionals)
  • Preparing pre-bills and billing memos (sending same to clients)
  • Managing debtors with the accounts department and clients
  • FICA administration: following up to ensure the FICA requirements are complete
  • Filing

Requirements:

  • At least 5 or more years experience as a legal secretary in a commercial department
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word programmes (more specifically MS Word 2016/Office 365 and Excel)
  • Knowledge on Aderant Expert (CMS) accounting system
  • Knowledge of FileSite
  • Secretarial diploma/legal secretarial diploma/paralegal qualification (advantageous)
  • Matric essential
